Apologetics Seminars

Several times each school year, the Center will host apologetics seminars to address timely topics and give students an opportunity to ask questions. Our seminars are all one-hour long and will begin and end on-time. Free coffee and snacks are provided.

Theolatte Live

Every Friday during the semester, tune in to "Theolatte Live," a streaming program hosted by the Center Director to discuss issues related to theology and philosophy. Students are encouraged to submit questions to be discussed on the program each week.

Mere Caffeination Podcast

The Center will produce twelve podcast episodes each academic year called "Mere Caffeination," which will walk through publications by C.S. Lewis and others, interview interesting guests and encourage listeners to nurture a winsome witness in the world.

Worldview Conferences

The Center will host a worldview conference every year for SBU students, faculty, staff, and regional ministry leaders. These events will feature well-known speakers and artists and include plenary and breakout sessions.

Worldview Trips

The Center will lead trips each semester with the purpose of exposing students to what flourishing faith looks like in different contexts. We will visit Christian students at Harvard and MIT in Boston each fall. And we will tour the University of Chicago and Loyola University with Christian students each spring. And in the summers, we will spend time in Ireland and England.

Dr. Daniel DeWitt

Meet the Center Director

Dr. Daniel DeWitt is the executive director of the Center for Worldview and Culture at SBU. DeWitt is the author of multiple books and articles and is a popular conference speaker. He previously taught and served at Cedarville University and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.
